Creativity Direct has been selected for the Creative Capitol Exhibition. The exhibit will be active from August to December 2019.
This exhibition features artists from the Carbondale Creative District, highlighting the town’s thriving artistic population of painters, printmakers, mixed media artists, photographers, and more. Carbondale, originally founded within the Roaring Fork Valley in 1888, received its official status as a Colorado Creative District in 2016. The district nurtures a vibrant economy and community through the arts, supporting Carbondale’s identity as a place that fosters creativity, collaboration, and artistic exploration. In addition to its plethora of creative organizations, artists and artisans, Carbondale is also home to craft breweries, farm-to-table food, healing gardens, a world-class museum, and intimate music venues. This exhibition displays the wide range of artists living and working in Carbondale. The selected artworks will be on display at the Colorado State Capitol, including the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, basement rotunda, and Legislative Council staff offices.
