Colorado Economic Development Commission
The Colorado Economic Development Commission (EDC) develops incentive packages to assist with existing business expansions and new company relocations to grow jobs in all regions of the state.
The EDC also:
- reviews the economic condition of Colorado
- develops and implements programs for the promotion of economic development in Colorado
- identifies and supports specific programs and activities that assist rural and/or economically distressed economies
- develops and supports events and activities that create business development leads and that promote Colorado nationally and internationally

In determining whether to approve incentive awards, the EDC reviews the number of jobs created, average salary levels, location, and other factors. The EDC ensures that these projects, expansions, or relocations create employment opportunities for Colorado residents and benefit Colorado companies across the state.
EDC was created by the Colorado General Assembly to promote economic development in Colorado. It consists of 11 members, with three members appointed by the Senate, three appointed by the House, and five appointed by the Governor.
The EDC typically meets on the third Thursday of the month from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. The dates of these meetings are subject to change at the discretion of the EDC.
