Advances in healthcare technology, data security and intelligence, energy storage and manufacturing all received a boost this week from the Global Business Development division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) Advanced Industries Accelerator Grant Program. A total of $8,517,011 was approved for Proof-of-Concept and Early Stage Capital and Retention Grants to support Colorado’s advanced industries.

Colorado SBDC TechSource: Commercialization Program Kicks Off Virtual Tech Venture Accelerator for Women-Owned Science and Technology Ventures

There are eight spots available in this cohort for innovative women-owned science and technology businesses.

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade’s (OEDIT) Global Business Development division announced today that SnapDNA, an early-stage technology company that enables rapid molecular detection of potentially deadly foodborne pathogens like Listeria, Salmonella, and E. coli, has selected Colorado for its new headquarters. 

The Advanced Industries Investment Tax Credit encourages investments in Colorado advanced industries businesses by providing tax credits to investors. 

Investors can earn a state income tax credit for 25% of their investment in a qualified business up to $50,000 on an investment of $200,000 or more. If the advanced industries business is in a Colorado enterprise zone or rural area, investors can earn a state income tax credit of 30% of their investment.
